丹波杜氏のふるさと（兵庫県丹波篠山市）で、寛政9年（1797年）の創業以来220余年の間、「酒は文化なり」を基本姿勢に、丹波の特産品や文化を大切にした酒造りをしています。2001年より、「ほろ酔い城下蔵」をオープン。220余年の伝統と歴史が見学できます。
One of Houmei Shuzo’s fundamental principals is that they believe that sake is part of Japanese culture and they have believed that since they started making sake in 1797. They have a tour at Horoyoi Joukagura in Tanba-Sasayama City, which makes it easier for sake lovers to study the culture of their sake.
